Vapor Quality
This vaporizer heats up pretty quickly compared to most desktop vaporizers, and the vapor quality is above average to say the least. The all-ceramic heating unit provides a very enjoyable vapor, I’ve always been partial to ceramic for the delectable taste that accompanies the ceramic experience. The vapor production of the Silver Surfer is spectacular. If you’re looking for a vaporizer that produces thick and dense clouds of smoke, then this vaporizer is for you.
Many vaporizers on the market tend to give you very poor vapor quality and/or taste. If you’ve experienced either of these things, I would definitely try out the Silver Surfer. For the price, the vapor quality is awesome. When using the whip, care must be taken in drawing technique. Drawing too fast results in uncomfortably warm vapor, but drawing too slow results in a rather unsatisfying amount of vapor to reach your mouth. The learning curve isn’t too steep though, within a single session any user should be a professional.
Look & Design
The design of the Silver Surfer really does set it apart from all other vaporizers I’ve seen.
It has a sleek finish, the outside is made of lightweight aluminum and the heating chamber is made entirely of ceramic, while the whip is made of food-grade vinyl. This vaporizer has a really nice finish to it, and I personally think the slanted look of this vaporizer is very stylish. Additionally, the temperature knob is made of glass which is an elegant addition to this already beautiful model. To know when the unit is ready to use, a bulb near the base of the device glows brighter as the temperature within the machine gets higher.
I’m personally a big fan of the look of this vaporizer. It has a very unique looking design, and it also functions just as good as it looks.
It’s without a doubt one of the best whip style vaporizers I’ve tried to date, and using bags is not out of the question with this model, although it must be noted that no bags are provided by 7th Floor with this model out of the box. Turkey oven bags are an inexpensive alternative to branded bags made specifically for use with vaporizers.
Overall Experience
Overall, I give my complete assurance that this product is well worth the price. With so many positive features, you really can’t go wrong. If you’re looking for a desktop vaporizer that is meant to be used in the comfort of your own home, this is definitely the one for you. It is hands down one of the best whip style vaporizers I’ve used to date, I highly recommend it.

This product has some of the best vapor quality of any vaporizer I’ve tried. You are able to get some massive clouds of vapor that taste absolutely fantastic! Passing around a bag filled by the Silver Surfer is one of my top ways to spend an afternoon with friends.
The look of this product is unlike any other desktop I’ve seen. Each unit comes with a unique temperature knob that is made out of hand blown glass which is a great feature that gives every Silver Surfer its own unique personality.
The glass on glass design allows for excellent vapor production, and also provides an air tight seal. Not to mention the hits that the Silver Surfer delivers are incredible. It’s a vaporizer that you draw from consistently, providing a great end-user experience.

The Rise 2.0 by Vapir is a very under-priced vaporizer in my opinion. It performs just as well as the higher end products on the market such as the Volcano and the Super Surfer.
When using the Vapir Rise 2.0, you have two ways to use it. You can either use it with the balloon style bag attachments, or you can use the whip.
Design & Performance
The Rise has a unique yet simple design, and only has a few buttons to control it.
It’s a very simple, yet effective vaporizer. I personally really like the look of this vaporizer, and think it looks super sleek.
The Rise heats up quickly compared to other desktops such as the Volcano vaporizer.
You can fine tune the temperature to whatever temperature you enjoy vaporizing.
This vaporizer has a built-in fan that can be turned off independently from the heater; this was a drawback in the first edition.
It’s the perfect whip style vaporizer in my opinion, and the bag function is just an added bonus that makes it able to compete with other high end desktops like the Volcano for example.
I personally think this vaporizer is a great investment and for the price you’ll pay it really is a steal.
Vapor Quality
The vapor production of this vaporizer is amazing. The temperature controls are very accurate, and you are able to get some very tasty hits of vapor. I highly recommend this product if you want something that gives you memorable flavor and great quality.
Whip vs Bag
The Vapir Rise 2.0 has a forced air system so you can use it to fill up bags of vapor, great for entertaining multiple stoners at the same time. You can also use this vaporizer with the whip attachment as well, which is a great feature. Both ways are great, but personally I’m a big fan of using the bag style attachment.

Overall this vaporizer is great for the price, well worth every penny in my humble opinion. The Vapir Rise 2.0 has so many great qualities, and truthfully it just might be the most under-priced desktop vaporizer available today. The Vapir Rise 2.0 improved on all of the drawbacks of the original Vapir Rise such as the lower maximum temperature and inability to turn off the forced-air system without also turning off the temperature. The time from plug-in to stone is infinitesimal and I have caught myself using this thing for hours at a time.

Do I Recommend the Rise 2.0?
Without a doubt, the Rise 2.0 is one of the best desktops I’ve ever tried in terms of performance. Not to mention it’s priced at around 250$ which is quite reasonable when compared to other desktop units on the market such as the Volcano which retails for over $500.

The vapor quality is very comparable on both units, however I would give the slight edge to the Volcano. The Rise delivers some excellent vapor quality, however very few vaporizers compare to the Volcano in vapor production, it is essentially of the gold standard of desktop vapes.

In my opinion it’s more or less a draw when it comes to ease of use, as they are both very simple to operate. Their controls are also very similar which makes it hard to give either the edge.

While the Rise 2.0’s build quality is very solid compared to most vaporizers, the Volcano has such a solid feel to it, and clearly has the better build quality. I’ve always considered the Volcano more of a household appliance than a marijuana device. Therefore it gets the slight edge.

The Volcano Classic retails for around $479.99 and the Digital is around $599.99. While the Rise 2.0 retails for around $249.99 which is considerably cheaper, which makes it a much more pragmatic option.

I would say overall if you’re looking for the highest quality vaporizer on the market, go with the Volcano. However if your looking for a more cost effective option that still delivers above average vapor quality, the Rise 2.0 is the better option. I personally think the Rise is the better option simply due to the price difference between these two units.

In my opinion the massive price difference is the deciding factor as most people aren’t really looking to invest over $400 in a vaporizer. Not only that but for the extra money the value truly isn’t there in my opinion. You can get a very comparable experience from the Rise 2.0 for a fraction of the cost of the Volcano. It really is the difference between a Buick and a Cadillac, they both get you where you need to go.

Vapor Quality
The vapor production of this vaporizer is outstanding. You have full control over temperature settings with the digital display, so you can achieve your desired vape temperature very easily. I’m a big fan of this vaporizer, particularly for it’s vapor production.
You are able to achieve some impressive vapor quality mainly due to the unique herb chamber design. The herb chamber allows the user to use a very small amount of herbs, while still filling the bag with vapor!
Using the Ion is a very similar experience to using the Volcano, and their vape quality is quite similar. They are pretty much neck and neck in quality, it’s hard to pick a clear winner.
The Ion also comes with a 16 foot bag attachment which is an absolute blast to use with friends, and I’ve personally never used anything else that compares. It’s a truly massive bag, and is so much fun to use with friends!

If I had the choice to buy either the Zephyr or The Volcano, I would pick the Zephyr every time. The only differences I could find were that the Volcano is made to feel more solid and has a slightly nicer finish but that is literally the only difference I could find.
Both vaporizers produce almost the exact same vapor. I tested the vaporizers side by side using the same type of herbs, and the taste was nearly identical when both set the the same temperature.
I really could not see myself buying a Volcano when there is an alternative on the market for nearly half the price which will deliver the exact same result, without hurting your wallet.

Do I Recommend the Ion?
If your looking for a vaporizer similar to the Volcano at a fraction of the cost, or even if your just somebody in the market for a new vape, the Ion is a solid option. It’s like the Volcano’s younger, more reasonably priced brother.
The vapor quality you are able to get is absolutely incredible and I was blown away considering it’s a bag style vaporizer and they tend to not have the best vapor quality. It’s right on par with the Volcano in vape quality in my opinion.
It’s price tag makes it a very tempting option over desktops like the Volcano and the Herbalizer, which can run upwards of $500! You can pick up the Ion for around $360, and it’s well worth it in my opinion.

My Favorite Handheld Desktop
My first question after purchasing the Plenty was:
Is this a vaporizer, or some kind of ray gun?
While it might be the most eccentric looking vaporizer currently on the market, the Plenty by Storz & Bickel also packs a serious punch.
In this Plenty vaporizer review, I will elaborate on all the pros and cons of this plug-in handheld vaporizer.
The Plenty is a new vaporizer from a German company called Storz and Bickel.
They are the makers of the mother of all vaporizers, the Volcano. They also have made other amazing vaporizers such as the Crafty and the Mighty.

This vape has a whip system that is quite unique. This vaporizer is unlike any other vape I have ever used, and it is very fun to play around with.
Design
The device has a very unique look to it to say the very least. It looks more like something your dad would keep in his garage and hasn’t used for half a decade.
The Plenty features seven pre-set temperature settings and you must hold down the trigger within the handle to have it heat up and stay heated. The whip is a stainless steel coil and functions to cool the vapor for a palatable experience.
The function of this vaporizer is near perfect. The herb chamber and all of the connecting pieces do not get clogged up and work really well. The vape comes with a special pad for vaporizing concentrates and oils.
The only real negative side to the design of this vaporizer is that you must keep it plugged in while you are using it and it has a cord. This can become annoying at times but other than that it is an amazing vaporizer. I personally use this vaporizer almost every single day, at least when I am home. The maximum temperature the Plenty is capable of is just shy of 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
How The Plenty Works
The plenty is what they call a direct inhalation vape. You can set the unit to a desired temperature, then when the user inhales, the hot air will pass through your herbs and result in a clean, smooth vapor.
The whip on this vape is different from the standard whips you see on most vaporizers. Unlike the other whips, it is made of a flexible metal coil which actually aids cool the vapor before the user inhales it.
The Plenty is a handheld vaporizer but it is required to be plugged in. The power cord is very long so the unit can easily be passed around and you shouldn’t run into problems as long as you stay in range.
Works With Herbs & Concentrates
The Plenty works great with both herbs as well as concentrates and I regularly use it with both. It comes with a very simple to use concentrate attachment that slides into the herb chamber to allow you to vaporize concentrates. I will add that the Plenty happens to be one of my favorite vaporizers to use with wax due to it’s vapor quality that speaks for itself. The flavor you get from this vaporizer when you use it with high quality concentrates is indescribable. It out performs most vaporizers I’ve tried in the dab department.
All in all, I give this vaporizer 2 thumbs up and I “highly” recommend it to anybody looking for a high performance handheld plug-in vaporizer!

Do I recommend the Plenty?
Absolutely!
I bought the Plenty well over a year ago, and it honestly performs just as well as it did fresh out of the box. I am still able to get incredible vapor production and none of the components have gotten clogged or anything of the sort.
The best part about this vape in my opinion is the size of hits you can get off of it. The vapor clouds it produces are thick and milky. The taste on the Plenty is incredible and definitely what makes this one of my favorite vaporizers. Where this vape really shines is the surface area of the heating chamber is spread out, so you don’t have to stir your material around between hits. Not only that but you will have to take fewer inhalations because the Plenty delivers in one draw what most vaporizers would deliver in 2 or 3. Trust me when I say that the vapor production is something to get excited about.

Conclusion

Most stoners have heard about the Volcano. It is known by many stoners as the mother of all desktop vaporizers.
It definitely isn't cheap and is one of the most expensive desktops on the market.
In this review we answer the question of whether this vaporizer is worth it’s expensive price tag.
The Volcano vaporizer has been around as long as I can remember, and I’ve owned mine for several years at this point.
As a stoner, I consider the Volcano to be one of the best purchases I've ever made.
In this article, I'll get into why I feel this way.
This vaporizer is made by a company called Storz & Bickel. They’re known for making amazing vaporizers such as the Crafty and the Mighty.
This company has built a reputation over the years for making some of the highest quality vaporizers in the world. They made their name for themselves originally with the Volcano.
The Volcano is no different from any of their newer vaporizers in the quality of it's design. Mine still works as good as it did when I bought it years ago.

Everything You Need To Know About It
The Volcano has a classic look, and anybody who’s been a stoner for more than a few years can likely identify one.
It looks just as it’s name suggests, like a silver Volcano.
The design of this vaporizer allows for it to be one of the most functional and shareable vaporizers on the market.
The Volcano has a fan system that fills a large bag with vapor, that make it perfect for sharing with other people.
It's Simple To Use
The Volcano is very simple to use and only takes a little bit of common sense to figure out! Once you have the vaporizer set up, you just pack the herb chamber, set the vaporizer to your desired temperature, and press the green button! The vaporizer fan will fill the balloon bags with vapor and in under 30 seconds you bag will be full of tasty vapor!
This vaporizer is great for using with friends as the bags are great for passing around! You can also buy extended bags that are even bigger that work great when your vaporizing with large groups of people!
Build Quality
You can tell that the Volcano vaporizer is made out of quality materials simply by looking at it, or by feeling it with your hands. It is a decently heavy vaporizer, and has a very solid feel to it.
As I've already said, I've owned my Volcano for over 3 years., and it works just as good as the day I bought it (however I do take good care of it).
The Volcano Classic vs Digital
The Volcano comes in two different styles; Classic or Digital.
I myself own The Digital model, though I have tried the Classic on several occasions as one of my close friends owns one. If you're on a budget, I personally don’t find the digital version to be necessary and I think most would be fine saving the extra money and going with The Classic.
However, there are some clear benefits with the Digital, which I'll get into.

When I was initially doing research into which model I was going to buy, I did quite a bit of research comparing the two. They are both very similar, although there are a few slight differences that I'll go over.
The Volcano Classic
The Classic model of the Volcano features a rotary dial on the front of the device that is used to control and adjust the temperature.
There is no automatic shut-off on the Classic model, which many people will see as a pro, while others might see this as a con.
At the end of every session, you need to manually turn off the vaporizer.
The minimum temperature setting is 266°F and the max setting is just under 450°F.
The Volcano Digital
The Digital has some noticeable improvements over the Classic. For starters, it features an LED screen which will display both the set temperature, as well as the exact temperature of the heating chamber.
You're able to precisely adjust the temperature using both the (-) and (+) buttons on the front of the device.
Overall the Digital will allow you to accurately set your temperature to the exact degree. Not only that, but the temperature spectrum is also much bigger. The maximum temperature setting is the same as the Classic at just under 450°F, however you're able to set it as low as 105°F! (In all honesty, I've never used it below 300°F)
Also, unlike the Classic, the Digital features an auto shut-off feature which will automatically turn off the vaporizer if it's been on for 30 minutes and hasn't been used in that time.
My Favorite Thing About It
This vaporizer delivers some very impressive hits of vapor. The vapor production of the Volcano is unlike any other bag style vaporizer I’ve ever used. It creates thick, and tasty vapor that everyone can enjoy.
I’d say it has the best vapor production of any other vaporizer I own.
The user interface allows you to have full control over the temperature so selecting the ideal temperature that works for you is very easy! My favorite temperature to use the Volcano is 380°F. At this temperature I feel you get a solid mix of tasty vapor and you also get big clouds of vapor as well!
The vapor that the Volcano delivers is so smooth and will have anybody falling in love with this unit.

Do I Recommend The Volcano?
I bought this vaporizer at the very end of 2011, and believe it or not my Volcano unit still performs as good as it did the day I brought it home. The vapor quality is still well above any of the other vaporizers I currently own, and I’ve yet to find a vaporizer that even comes close in terms of build and vapor quality.
Most people freak out when they see the price tag on the Volcano, as did I when I first bought mine. But when you think about it, for a vaporizer that will last you for many many years, it’s completely worth the investment. I can’t tell you how many vaporizers I’ve had stop working on me over the years after using them for only a year or two. Cheap priced usually means made of low quality materials from my experience, and when you invest in a Volcano you can be certain your investing in quality materials.
More than anything, purchasing the Volcano should be looked at as an investment.
It should be the only vaporizer you will have to buy for many years to come, and it is by far the best vaporizer on the market to this day. You will not find a vaporizer that outperforms the Volcano vaporizer in vapor quality and overall you won’t find a better unit for sharing.
The Volcano the first vaporizer I reach for whenever my stoner buddies come over for a smoke session, and I always get great feedback on it from others. The balloon bags are great for sharing as they can easily be filled up and passed around a circle more than a few times! Since you can get anywhere from 6-10 hits per bag, they are perfect for sharing with friends!
