I’ve been waiting a long time to publish this review. I’ve owned this vaporizer for over 2 years now, and it works just at good as the day I bought it (I take good care of it). 

In my opinion, this desktop unit is perfect for anyone looking for a vape that has both a whip, and comes with a balloon attachment.

The Extreme Q offers a satisfying and efficient way of vaping herbs, and is a really solid option if you’re on a budget due to it’s low price point.

As with all of Arizer's line of products, the Extreme Q delivers some very impressive tasting vapor, and has a very convenient and easy to use digital display.

Overall, it's a great product.

Design

The Extreme Q has a unique design, with a metallic exterior which makes it look quite similar to a standard home appliance.

Thanks to it’s metal construction, it produces no unpleasant aftertaste, unlike other devices made out of other materials. The vapor quality is one thing that really stands out on this model.

The Extreme Q is very lightweight, which is ideal if you want to take advantage of the separate power pack for portability.

The outside of the unit stays cool regardless of how long it’s left on thanks to it’s heat resistant body which encases the ceramic heating element.

Ease of Use

The Extreme Q is very easy to use, even if you’ve never owned a vaporizer before. It comes complete with it’s own remote control which is handy since it allows the user to control the device from several feet away instead of having to get up and actually adjust the device.

It’s easy to set up and use, and has simple user-friendly controls. I highly doubt anyone reading this will ever need to open up the owners manual that comes with it.

The unit is very quiet to run and really doesn’t make much noise at all.

Vapor Quality

The vapor quality from this device is very impressive, especially since it’s possible to use balloons or whips to vaporize. Both systems allow for excellent vapor with good flavor and consistency that should satisfy even the most demanding vape connoisseur.

It also features numerous parts that are made from glass, which provides excellent tasting vapor. However it should be noted that they also tend to get hot during use and are also pretty fragile, so it’s important to take extra care.

The temperatures range from 122°F up to 500°F, and features a speedy ceramic heating element, which allows the unit to heat up in only a few minutes.

Pro Tip – My favorite temperature to use the Extreme Q is between 375–385°F. I found this temperature produced the best tasting vapor, while still delivering nice clouds of vapor.

There is also an automatic shut off feature which ensures that, should the device be left on by accident it will not cause a fire.

Maintenance

One issue with the glass parts of the Extreme Q is that they do tend to gum up very easily and this means that frequent cleaning is required. This is not the lowest maintenance device out there, however it’s pretty much the same story with all desktop vaporizers on the market.

Discreetness

The Arizer Extreme Q is a desktop device and is therefore never going to be the most discreet device on the market since isn’t really designed with this in mind.

However it does have the appearance of a standard household appliance, which makes it more discreet when on a shelf at home than many other home desktop vaporizers which are much more obvious.

Power Source & Wall Adapter

The Extreme Q is a desktop vaporizer and therefore connects to the mains via a power outlet, however it is possible to buy a separate battery pack so that it can be taken out and about if the user would prefer.


With a lithium ion battery, the battery pack (which must be purchased as an additional extra) will provide the user with between 4 hours to 5 hours of vaping before it needs to be charged.
