Is It Actually Worth Buying?

I was very excited to get my hands on the Crafty by Storz & Bickel. This is the company that invented the Volcano vaporizer. You might also recognize their name from the Mighty and Plenty vaporizers they also produce.

In this review of the Crafty portable vaporizer, we intend on showing you whether or not we think this vaporizer is worth your money.

The Crafty is a medium-large sized portable vaporizer, but it is still small enough to fit in most pockets.
When you buy the Crafty, it includes a multitude of accessories in the box, even going as far to include a grinder to ensure proper enjoyment of the product. Besides that, you are provided with replacement screens, a cleaning brush, a concentrate pad and a handy filling aid (a circular piece of plastic with a channel in the middle to push herbs through) for a waste-free session.
To sum up my whole review, this vaporizer is fantastic. It’s the highest quality portable vaporizer I’ve tried to date. It has an incredibly long battery life, and the vapor quality is even better than most desktop vaporizers on the market.

What Makes The Crafty Special?
This vaporizer has an extremely appealing design, and it’s design makes it very practical for on the go usage. Measuring in at 4.3 inches tall by 2.2” wide by 1.3” deep, this vaporizer can really be brought anywhere and used discreetly.
The Crafty is made out of high quality materials, and feels very solid in your hand. It’s also very well vented, so that it won’t get too hot in your hand like most portables do.
The Crafty features an unique mouthpiece design, and it is really awesome! It swivels to that you can adjust it so that it’s out of the way what your not using it.
Design Features
The unit comes pre-loaded with two temperature settings, but you can also finely tune the temperature by using the smartphone app that comes with the Crafty. For the novice user, the two default settings are more than enough to enjoy a quality experience worthy of the Storz & Bickel name.
The Crafty only takes 90 seconds to heat up to it’s default temperature (356°F). By hitting the power button twice when the unit is already on, you will engage Boost mode (383°F).
What really sets the Crafty apart is that long aggressive draws will not result in temperature fluctuations common to vaporizers of lower quality.
The Crafty comes with a pretty awesome app which allows you to control the temperature. The app is available for both Android and iPhone.
The app connects to your vaporizer via Bluetooth and enables you to fine tune the temperature to your liking. It also allows you to turn down the LED lights for stealth vaping, but personally I like to keep the lights on to know when I’m in Boost mode.
After playing around with the smartphone app, I actually found the default temperature of 356°F to be right around the sweet spot for me. It will satisfy you with tasty hits of vapor at that temperature without fail, but I highly recommend finding which temperature works best for you.
Battery Life
The Crafty has a great battery life. The unit is powered by a Lithium ion battery, that only takes around 2 hours to fully charge from empty.
The Crafty is powered by an internal, rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. I’m able to get typically well over 2 hours of consistent usage on the lower temperature settings.
A really nice feature is that you can also use the Crafty while it’s plugged in and charging as long as the battery is at 20% charge. It also uses a standard micro USB charger so it’s quite easy to find a replacement if you break or lose your charger.
Overall Vapor Quality
The greatest strength of the Crafty is it’s vapor quality. It has some of the best vapor production of any vaporizer I’ve ever tried, desktops included, I’ve actually considered calling my local weather station after using this thing, partly cloudy is an understatement. Vape pens simply cannot stack up to what the Crafty can provide.
The Crafty’s herb chamber design allows for massive clouds of tasty vapor. It is one of the smoothest vaporizers you will ever try, if you usually cough while using a vaporizer, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the Crafty’s ability to keep your lungs intact.
You can pack about a third of a gram of dried herb into the herb chamber. It has a very large capacity.
I’ve been really enjoying this vaporizer, and it quickly became my go-to herb vaporizer once I bought it because I personally feel that I get more out of my herb with this device, over time I began to prefer it to combustion as it provides a more full experience. Another thing I noticed when using this vape is that it doesn’t matter whether or not you pack the chamber fully, it will deliver the same experience regardless of fullness.
You can also use this vaporize for wax and concentrates, and it works great for them as well! The Crafty comes with a liquid pad which allows you to vaporize your concentrates, be sure to use it to not damage the vaporizer if you are using concentrates.

Conclusion
This vaporizer is awesome. Hands down the best portable vaporizer on the market. It retails for around 350$ and is worth every penny. It even comes with it’s own grinder. To someone who wants a complete experience in a single package, Storz & Bickel really brought out the big guns.
